I asked Samson today if he was excited about starting back
to school next week. To my surprise
(Samson loves school) he said “no”. In
my head I was getting ready for a tirade about how he will not get to do
extended day and he will miss all his old friends and he might not know anyone
in his class and school is boring, but I asked “why aren't you excited?” He said, “I won’t get to spend as much time
with you.” In one little sentence and
without even knowing it, Samson made my whole summer worth it.
