Just got the Pottery Barn Kids catalog in the mail. Does anyone’s family actually ever look like
that? Does anyone’s house actually ever
look like that? Clearly the marketing
people who sent me this based it purely on our zip code and have never seen me
or my children in action! Sad part is, I
think everything in the catalog is beautiful.
The good part is I now know it is also unattainable. The saying goes something like: Good moms have sticky floors, messy kitchens,
piles of laundry and happy kids. I like
the saying in theory, but I also think sometimes: Good moms have good house keepers and kids
that might be unhappy, but will better behaved contributing members to society
someday (oh and mostly happy)!
