Samson came home very excited yesterday about making
snowflakes. Now I am pretty sure that I
have shown him how to do this and tried to get him excited about it for the
last 6 years, but it apparently takes a really cool 1st grade teacher’s
introduction to it for snowflakes to be cool.
I had forgotten how fun they were to make. The excitement of seeing what your snowflake
looks like as you unfold it. I also had forgotten
what a mess all those little pieces make!
So now boys are really good at cutting and folding, but somehow still
lack in the picking up department. I think they figure all the scraps just look
like real snow or their elf on the shelf picks it all up after they go to bed!
