Day 205 – Gratitude vs Attitude?

Guess which my kids have?  All I wanted today was to go see the Christmas display at the Botanical Gardens, bake Christmas cookies and watch a holiday movie together. For some reason, each of these things is the equivalent of torture for 4 and 6 year old boys.  Is it wrong to just want to go do things by myself on Christmas Eve?  Not even going to approach the idea of going to church.  All they care about are the gifts under the tree and when we can open them.  I feel like I have drastically failed on ensuring they understand the reason for the season.
